After a practically spoiler-free summer, news about “One Tree Hill“‘s eighth season is finally starting to trickle out. We couldn’t be happier! Today’s “OTH” news update includes three (three!!!) big scoops about the series.

First up: more deets on the “Life Unexpected“/”OTH” crossover episode. Joining Haley and Mia at Cate and Ryan’s radio station concert will be musicians Sarah MacLachlan and Ben Lee. Perfect, we think—they’re exactly the right kind of folky pop that Bethany Joy Galeotti does so well, so Haley will fit right in to that lineup. Plus, as our friends at Zap2It reminded us, Haley chose a MacLachlan song the first time she performed for her now-hubby.

Also on the “OTH” news blotter: Julian’s mom is coming to town. Entertainment Weekly reports that she’s being played by none other than “NYPD Blue” vet Sharon Lawrence. Mama Baker will come to town for several episodes starting in late October to help (read: wreak havoc) as Brooke plans her wedding to Julian.

And a bonus piece of “OTH” fodder: EW.com’s Michael Ausiello had a teensy morsel of info about the new season in this week’s Ask Ausiello column. “A major-ish character is going to do some time in the slammer this season,” he wrote. “That’s literally all I’ve got.”

Major-ish?! What does that even mean? It can’t be any of the series regulars, so we’re thinking it’s gotta be someone involved in Clothes Over Bros or one of the bartenders at Tric. Maybe they’ll bring back Joe Manganiello for an episode? Swoon. Then again, Ausiello italicized the world “literally,” so maybe he was trying to give us a hint that Chad Michael Murray is coming back and Mr. Big Shot Author Lucas Scott is the one heading to jail. Yeah, we don’t think so either. But a girl’s gotta hope.

Well, thanks to everyone who came out to the South Dakota show to support Everly and Enation. What a great way for us too experience our very first concert! And we don’t plan on doing any more appearances until our album is done, so for those of you who got to see last night’s show, that was a very special occasion.

This morning I’m on a plane to Vancouver to do a guest spot on Life Unexpected! I’ve always been a fan of the show, especially since it’s set in Portland, near my hometown. So, here I am, a sore throat and terrible sinus congestion, sitting in the back of a little prop plane. I’m afraid I’m a poor sight to see trampling through the airport in my sunglasses and sweats. But hopefully I’ll have some downtime from filming where I can catch up on my sleep.

I haven’t spent much time in Vancouver but I hope to find a least one little cozy spot before I leave. Any suggestions?

Congratulations are in order for “One Tree Hill” star Bethany Joy Galeotti. E! reports that the actress and her husband, Michael Galeotti, are expecting their first baby, though her reps have declined to comment.

Michael’s band, Enation, includes “General Hospital” star Jonathan Jackson. You may remember the group from when they performed their song “Feel This” with Bethany Joy in “One Tree Hill’s” sixth season.

Joy’s caracter, Haley James Scott, has already got a seven-year-old. Whether Galeotti will continue to chase Jackson Brundage around on-camera beyond is still up in the air – sources tell E! that Galeotti may not return to Tree Hill if The CW decides to renew the show beyond the first 12 episodes of Season 8.

Of course, maternity leave is important, but it leaves us wondering what will happen to Haley if Galeotti leaves the show. After all, she’s been married to Nathan (James Lafferty) since their junior year of high school, and she does have that aforementioned kid to worry about.

We know that Haley will be spending more time focusing on her music this season, since she’s hitching a ride to Portland to perform on “Life Unexpected.” A tour could feasibly take her away from Tree Hill for a while.

Take, for example, the very blessed event spawned from the relationship of the CW staple’s OG starlet Bethany Joy Galeotti with Michael, her real-life rocker hubby of five years…

While neither the network or Galeotti’s personal reps are commenting, multiple sources close to the show confirm to E! News that the 29-year-old is pregnant.

There’s no word yet on a due date, though a source says it’s possible the mama-to-be may opt not to return to the show beyond the current 12-episode order should the network want to extend the series’ run this season.

The “Life Unexpected” gang is about to get some unexpected visitors when two “One Tree Hill” characters cross that Tuesday 9 p.m. line for a stop in Portland.

Haley James Scott (Bethany Joy Galeotti) and Mia Catalano (Kate Voegele) will take their singer/songwriter show on the road in the Oct 12 episode of “Life Unexpected,” EW reports.

Zap2it confirms that Haley and Mia will perform at a Portland music festival backed by the radio station where newlyweds Cate (Shiri Appleby) and Ryan (Kerr Smith) have their morning show. There, Haley and Cate will bond over being young mothers, since Haley had Jamie on her high school graduation day, and Cate got pregnant with Lux at her Winter Formal.

Galeotti and Voegele have a long way to go from Wilmington, N.C., where “One Tree Hill” is filmed, since “Life Unexpected’s” Portland is actually Vancouver, B.C. Hopefully, the trip will pay off for The CW. Now that “One Tree Hill” is on its eighth season, its fanbase is certainly dedicated enough to tune in for “Life Unexpected,” which is still building an audience.

We’re thrilled about anything that might boost “Life Unexpected’s” viewership. Plus, this means that Haley is going back to her music, which will likely bring her comfort after her mother’s unexpected death last season. We always love the opportunity to hear new music from Galeotti and Voegele – we don’t care what show they’re playing on!

We knew it would happen sooner or later, The CW has confirmed to EW that they’re doing a crossover event with two of their shows, the veteran “One Tree Hill” and the sophomore “Life Unexpected.” How will they get Haley, Brooke, and Nate, to hang out with Baze, Cate, and Lux? It sounds crazy when you think about it, but the execs over at the network have it all figured out.

The network has both shows paired on Tuesday nights, which means it will be easy to connect them via their time slots. In terms of the characters, “OTH’s” Haley (Bethany Joy Galeotti) and Mia (Kate Voegele) will be the catalysts to make everything happen. They’ll both appear on the October 12th episode of “Life Unexpected,” when their singing alter egos participate in a music festival sponsored by Cate’s (Shiri Appleby) radio station.

Not only will the characters interact on a social level, but they’ll connect on a personal level too. Both Cate and Haley will bond over their different experiences with having children while still in high school. If you’re a fan of both show’s this is a dream come true. In the end, the network is hoping that some of “OTH’s” viewers will move over and give “LUX” a shot and an eventual ratings boost.

The first trailer for season eight is here! But there’s still no sign of gunshot victims Clay & Quinn.

Yes, One Tree Hill is still on the air — and yes, it is still amazing. The CW drama returns Sept. 14, and we finally have our first look at the upcoming eighth season! In this 10-second teaser, we see Brooke (Sophia Bush) on her way to jail, pregnant Haley (Bethany Joy Galeotti) acting a little manic, and Chase (Stephen Colletti) getting confronted by Mia (Kate Voegele) over whether or not he slept with Alex (Jana Kramer.) Never a dull moment with those wacky hill folk.

Of course, the one thing we DON’T see is whether or not Clay (Robert Buckley) and Quinn (Shantel VanSanten) are still alive after being shot on last season’s finale — but thankfully, Robert all but confirmed their survival to HollywoodLife.com back in May.

One of America’s most beloved romance novel’s and film is further becoming a 3-D experience for those of us who fell oh so in love with the Nicholas Sparks New York Times Best-Selling book The Notebook. The story that won our hearts has been transformed into a musical production by One Tree Hill’s triple threat leading lady Bethany Joy Galeotti, and now a brand new official website has opened for it giving us even more access to this exciting new side of the story that presents a kind of love even a skeptic couldn’t deny!

Galeotti debuted a workshop of the The Notebook Musical last fall at a theater in Wilmington, NC, and since then she has been on as what she describes a great and fun journey in order to present to audiences a new experience with this classic story, while still maintaining Sparks’ special message. “We want to make sure that what we put out there as the final product is really honoring to the story and especially to Nicholas Sparks and his family because that story was very close to his family”, says Galeotti on the process of writing the musical.

Galeotti, who herself is a singer and has had her own-written songs featured on One Tree Hill, says that she and her co-writer for the musical, Grammy-nominee Ron Anniello, did not want to just take the book and add music. They wanted to give people something fresh with this powerful love story and further enhance its experience.
“We just feel like god has a story here that touches people’s hearts and we feel like it’s just love that gets to be poured out on people through this story”, Galoetti says. “We don’t want to get in the way of the that. We just want to help lift it up. We’re excited!”
As are we! The new site features new updates on the musical, personal notes from Galeotti and Anniello, as well as exclusive photos from the workshop. Along with the photos are descriptions of the scenes with songs in them. “We really love our music”, says Galoetti on the score they recently finished writing.

‘One Tree Hill’ Season 8: Is Haley happy again? Will Quinn survive the shooting?

When we last left “One Tree Hill,” Clay (Robert Buckley) and Quinn (Shantel VanSanten) had just been shot by Clay’s crazy stalker. Zap2it spoke to Buckley back in May, and he was confident that Clay would live on. Whether Quinn would survive the shooting is anyone’s guess.

The CW isn’t giving us much to go on, but they have generously released ten seconds of new footage for us to pick apart until more substantial spoilers come our way. Here are the five things we deduced from that ten seconds.

1. Haley (Bethany Joy Galeotti) looks happy! She’s bouncing around, proudly announcing her pregnancy. Perhaps having baby number two on board is helping her to manage her severe depression after her mother’s death last season.

2. Haley definitely doesn’t look like a woman whose sister was just murdered by a psycho, so we’re going to guess that Quinn survives the shooting. Of course, it’s possible that Haley just hasn’t gotten the news yet…
